Lluis Clotet escargot plate for Alessi
Wrinkled stainless steel plate for serving escargot, designed by the Spaniard Lluis Clotet for the Italian brand Alessi. This model is called "Amelia" and is made of stainless steel 18/10. It is intended for 6 snails but can also be used for 6 sweets, 6 fruits or 6 appetizers.
Best to wash by hand.
The design dates from 2009 and is already a collector's item.
About the designer:
Lluis Clotet was born in 1941 in Barcelona, Spain. He obtained his diploma in arcitecture in 1965 at the “Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura”, where he later worked as a drawing teacher (1977 to 1984). In 1964, he founded Studio Per together with the architects Pep Bonet, Cristian Cirici and Oscar Tusquets. In 1984 they parted ways and Clotet entered into an architectural partnership with Ignacio Paricio until 2008. He is also a co-founder of the company “BD Ediciones de Diseño”. The Catalan also designed beautiful interior objects for Alessi, among others. His work adorns many museums.
